Our 9 day, 4 city trip to the east coast has come and gone. We started by flying into Boston (a first visit for us both), then, by way of train, we visited New York, Philadelphia, and finished in Washington D.C.
There is so much to see and do in these cities, so only spending a few days in each (and in the case of Philly, just an afternoon), we knew it would be a challenge to see everything. After walking nearly 90 miles over the 9 days, we did our best. What began as an easy and relaxed way to experience the four cities morphed into an incredibly interesting and enjoyable trek through the history of our nation. From the beginning of the revolution in Boston, to the very building and room where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were debated and signed, finally ending up in the city where the experiment is still underway...it was a truly fantastic journey.
We walked a lot, took tons of pictures, ate some really good food, and tried to take in the essence of the cities we visited. It was a wonderful trip and a great way to see some of America's great cities and history.
Below are some of my favorite images from the trip. There were so many to choose from, so I've included the link to the rest of the photos, where you can find your favorites too.
